Paluk faily castle is a major tourist attraction of Szubin. Founded in 1434, the town of Szubin was part of Prussia, after the second partition of Poland. Szubin played an important role during World War I and World War II. After witnessing resurgence of the Nazi army, the town was eventually captured by it. Szubin remained under the Nazi rule for considerable period of time. As allied forces made a stronghold in Europe, the town was freed from the totalitarian German regime, and was returned to Poland. Szubin is served by Bydgoszcz Ignacy Jan Paderewski Airport located around 15 miles away from the town centre.
